WORKSAFE Courses
The WorkSafe Manual Handling Instructor Course provides trainers with teaching resources to deliver the half day Manual Handling Awareness qualification.
The course complies with the Health & Safety Executive Guidelines for Manual Handling at Work. The course does not cover people handling principles.
Please note, to enrol for this course you must hold a nationally recognised teaching qualification at level 3 or above and a current manual handling awareness certificate.
Enrolment on the online course will be processed once our quality control team has reviewed and approved your qualifications.
Our online course will show how to identify risk and implement control measures, with practical guides to the principles of safer handling. With our online training modules you can work through the course content at your own pace. This flexible course will ensure that you are equipped to deliver Manual Handling Awareness courses in your workplace.
Manual Handling Instructor Online
During the course candidates will complete their manual handling awareness qualification. Theory and legislation are covered via our e-learning portal. Please note this course does not cover people handling.

To take the WorkSafe Manual Handling Instructor Course you must already hold:
A Level 3 or above teaching qualification
Manual Handling Awareness certificate
WorkSafe deliver the Level 3 Award in Education and Training if you need to gain this qualification.

WorkSafe Manual Handling instructors are required to refresh their own manual handling awareness certificate to ensure of compliance with current guidelines. WorkSafe offer an online renewal course as a convenient way to keep up to date with industry best practice.
