WorkSafe Basic First Aid Awareness E-learning Course

This 2 hour e-learning course introduces learners to basic first aid skills, raising awareness of what to do in an emergency.

Please note that this online training course gives you sufficient awareness of first aid, but it does not replace competency-based, practical training. WorkSafe recommend that a classroom based course is taken following completion of the e-learning course.

Photos and videos alongside written guidance will provide learners with the information needed to be able to recognise emergency situations and ensure appropriate action is taken at the time of an incident.

The course content includes the following subjects:

• What to do in an emergency
• Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
• First aid for the unconscious casualty
• First Aid for a choking casualty
• First aid for the wounded or bleeding

At the end of the course learners will be able to download a certificate of completion.
