Instead of sending Christmas Cards WorkSafe will be making a donation to Cancer Research. This year cancer has touched the lives of several people who are close to the WorkSafe family so this is a charity very close to our hearts.
According to Cancer Research, cancer survival has doubled in the last 40 years, where 2 in 4 people survive the disease for 10 years or more. However, it is the charity’s ambition to improve on this further, aiming for 3 in 4 survivors by 2034.
Our donation will help Cancer Research to continue their work using clinical trials. This research includes the testing of new treatments such as immunotherapy and new drug combinations. Supporting this charity enables the pioneering work into preventative measures, early diagnosis of the disease and the best course of action to take for each individual case.
