WorkSafe coordinates a team of verifiers to carry out the internal quality assurance requirements across all WorkSafe registered providers.
The role of the Internal quality assurance team is to verify the assessment decisions made by the instructor delivering the training. The aim is to ensure that sound judgements and fair standards are maintained across all centers delivering WorkSafe qualifications.
Why do I need to be verified?
Our verifiers aim to identify any developmental areas in your teaching and offer support and advice to help you to be the best teacher you can be. They identify good practice and as an experienced trainer, they share their knowledge and resources.
How much does it cost to be verified?
Verification is free to all of our instructors during their first year who certificate through us. It continues to be free if you register at least 25 students with us each year.
What happens on verification day?
Our verifiers are trained to put instructors at ease and will offer support and encouragement when conducting an observation visit.
They will sit unobtrusively and will fill in an instructor verification record as they observe your teaching.
Once they have finished the report, they will speak to you in the break with a summary of their findings. You can ask any questions as they are there to offer support.
Finally…
The verifier will send the report to the WorkSafe office to be processed where an email will be sent with a copy of the report for your records.
As an instructor you are now complaint with Health & Safety Executive guidelines for delivering first aid courses 😊
