The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly known as PTLLS) is an introductory teaching qualification regulated by Ofqual.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training
Level 3 Award in Education and Training course content is delivered in three days within the classroom with an emphasis on practical application. The course consists of three units that total 12 credits:
The Level 3 Award has approximately 48 hours of study time and requires completion of a pre-course assignment prior to attendance. You will be fully supported throughout your learning with one of our experienced and friendly course tutors who will ensure you are able to complete your award.
A variety of assessment methods are used:
Assignment – one short pre-course assignment which your tutor will provide feedback on.
Micro-teach – prepare and deliver a short, 20 minute teaching session on a subject of your choice. This will be delivered during the course and you will receive feedback from your instructor and other students on the course.
Assessment Paper- an open book exercise on the final day of the course.
This award is available to learners aged 19 and over who:
Hold a minimum of a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in literacy and numeracy, or working towards one.
Hold a minimum of a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in the subject they want to teach.
