WorkSafe will be making a donation to Acorns Children’s Hospice this year instead of sending Christmas Cards. Acorns provide care for babies, children and young people who have life limiting or life-threatening conditions. They offer a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local families. Supporting the ‘Stronger Together at Christmas’ appeal to raise vital funds for families, our donation will help the Acorns Children’s Hospice to continue to offer psychological, emotional and practical support for family members

As of 25th July 2023, the government have supplied all state-funded schools with a defibrillator. More than 20,000 machines have been delivered following a campaign by Oliver King’s parents, a student that sadly lost his life when his heart stopped beating in a swimming lesson. The use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can help increase the chances of survival for someone who has experienced a cardiac arrest, which is where the heart stops beating.
