about this course

First Aid Instructor Verification

Annual First Aid Verification

Complete your annual teaching observation with WorkSafe. Join our classroom verification day where a qualified IQA will complete your observation.

The Health & Safety Executive requires all first aid trainers to be regularly reviewed by competent ‘verifiers’. Reviews should take place on an annual basis by a competent person independent of those directly involved in the delivery of training.
Ref: HSE GEIS3 Selecting a First-aid Training Provider: A Guide for Employers

Who can attend?

Any first aid instructor who needs an annual observation or WorkSafe instructors who wish to return to training (within one year of expiration date).

To enrol on the First Aid Instructor Verification day you’ll need to ensure your First Aid at Work qualification (or recognised exemption) is in date.

How You’ll Benefit
  • Receive support from experienced trainers.

  • Internal quality assurance provided by a fully qualified IQA.

  • Practical advice on updated first aid guidelines.

What do I get?

Following delivery of your teaching session you will receive a written observation record.

Completion of your verification with our IQA will enable you to renew your teaching status with WorkSafe.

The WorkSafe first aid verification process meets the due diligence requirements set by the HSE L74 Approved Code of Practice, by the provision of independent annual reviews for trainers.
