WorkSafe Training Systems has launched a new App for first aid trainers and students that will act as a vital emergency resource, especially while people are in isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The App, which is free to download from Apple and Google App stores, has been developed to provide life-saving reminders for first aiders and also includes the ability for WorkSafe’s students to view and download certificates.

Students and trainers will find detailed guidance for managing emergency situations and the App includes videos, photographs and detailed descriptions to help someone follow the best course of first aid action.
Users of the App can also access the current first aid guidelines in line with the UK Resuscitation Council, as well as an emergency first aid section providing life-saving techniques that can be accessed without an internet connection.
WorkSafe Training’s Director Natalie Parsons said: “We’re delighted to be launching our new App which will be a vital reference tool for many of our instructors and students to use. The App offers clear and concise instructions on how to tackle emergency situations, providing essential back up to those who need it at a critical moment.
“We have been working on the App for a few months now and felt it was the ideal time to launch as it could give first aiders who are currently isolated at home due to Coronavirus some useful reminders on how to respond in common first aid emergencies.”
Special App features include a ‘My courses’ section that allows WorkSafe students to view and download their own first aid certificate to their electronic device. To access certificates via the App students should enter their unique evaluation number from their WorkSafe student pack, along with the course end date.
Access to electronic certificates will enable WorkSafe to reduce single use plastic consumption as this service replaces the plastic credit cards that used to be provided in student packs.
Once the course instructor has submitted course details to the WorkSafe database, students will be able to link to their certificate by creating a personal account on the App.
